"PROGRAMA 2000 - STRATEGY FOR RECATALANIZATION" DOCUMENT NOW AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH

"Remembrance of grievances: Catalonia is a discriminated nation that can not freely develop its cultural and economic potential. Discovery, verification, weighting and dissemination of discriminatory facts, shortcomings, etc, in a clear, forceful and systematic way. Informing of the negative impact that this has for the whole Catalan people and for each of its citizens."

- Programa 2000 / Collective Thinking

This is merely the beginning of the document "PROGRAMA 2000", dated 1990. It was created and shared by the upper echelons of Catalan Government and was personally revised by Jordi Pujol, President of Catalonia from 1980 to 2003.

It laid the grounds for a Catalan nationalist strategy that has, slowly but steadily, taken place in Catalonia for the past 28 years, infiltrating almost every aspect of its daily life. For those truly interested in understanding the Catalan conflict, this is a “must read.” It shows an almost obsessive agenda designed to favour Separatist citizens over Unionists.

Present day Catalan political parties of Artur Mas and Carles Puigdemont are the direct ideological descendants of CDC and UDC, authors of the document. After a lifetime claiming the Spanish Central Government steals from the Catalan society, Jordi Pujol and his sons have recently confessed to a corruption scheme that amounts to 3.300 million euros and lasted more than 30 years.

Somehow the current Catalan conflict with the Spanish Central Government has helped to erase its own problems of corruption from the Catalan “Collective Unconscious.”

Down below this page you will find some excerpts of the Document. Here you can also download the full text, for the first time translated into English from the original Catalan version.
